# View / Edit residents

To view or edit a resident, click on the relevant resident on the ***RESIDENTS*** page to access their details. \
\
You will notice that there will now be 2 tab bars. The top ***tab menu*** is what you will use on a day to day basis to enter information such as incidents (behaviour and AINMs), health records (such as pressure ulcer records etc), notifications (to the CQC), dietary information, weights and an admission checklist.

{% hint style="info" %}
You can edit the residents general information by clicking the EDIT button when on the DETAILS tab.
{% endhint %}

Get used to this screen. It allows you to enter a lot of resident information which is linked to this specific resident.

#### Details Tab

The ***details tab*** is basically showing you the info you entered when you created the resident. It has a second tab menu below, and you can click the ***EDIT*** button to update resident details.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://guide.guardiancaregov.com/documentation/residents-menu/images-and-media.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
